Hibiscus and rosehips give this tea a gorgeous ruby color and tart, fruity brightness. Lemongrass and lemon verbena add a zesty citrus lift, while spearmint keeps it fresh and energizing. Caffeine-free.
Brew Guide:
For each cup, use 1 heaping teaspoon of the blend per 8 oz of water. For a stronger brew, use 1.5 teaspoons.
Heat water to about 200°F (93°C) - just off a full boil. Avoid boiling water as it can make hibiscus slightly bitter.
Pour hot water over the loose leaf blend in your infuser or teapot. Steep for 5-7 minutes. The tea will turn a beautiful deep ruby red.
Remove the infuser and pour into your cup.
A slice of fresh lemon will help amplify the citrus notes.
Iced tea version: Double the amount of blend and steep for 7 minutes, then pour over ice. Sweeten with honey, agave, or cane sugar. The hibiscus and rosehips make this especially gorgeous as an iced tea.
